Life - with all its beauty - is filled with adversity. Struggles may be opportunities for growth and development. Without hardship, our capacity to reach our full potential is limited. I believe it is important for therapy to be a place where you feel empowered to learn, grow, and practice skills.
I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Masters of Science in Applied Psychology with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling in 2012. I am licensed in the state of Washington and am a National Certified Counselor.
I ascribe to a compassionate approach to counseling and encourage clients to look inward, recognize their emotions, and explore their current thought and behavior patterns. I often assist by helping others clarify their values, shift their thinking in a self-compassionate way, and practice new behaviors. In addition, I enjoy the creative process and welcome those who share a similar interest to engage in an experiential modality using art, sand, or play. You can expect the counseling process to be focused on your strengths and individualized to meet your unique needs.
You are the expert and author of your life; my role is to simply walk alongside you during our time together. I acknowledge the vulnerability in the healing process and would be honored to be a part of your story.
