I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State and have been providing individual therapy for adults for nearly 9 years. The work that I do with my clients is deeply relational, where we dig into the nitty gritty of a person's story and work together to find healing, safety, and stability. My approach is warm, compassionate, and at times, direct. My preferred clients are those who are ready, motivated, and open to the work we do together.
I have expertise and interest in supporting clients who were raised in traumatic, unhealthy, and/or unsafe environments including high control religious environments, neglect, physical abuse, emotional abuse, and sexual trauma. I bring compassionate and skillful support in healing early childhood attachment wounds and deconstruction. I find purpose and joy in aligning with and supporting Autistic and ADHD adults as well as the LGBTQIA+ populations. As a late-diagnosed neurodivergent therapist (AuDHD) myself, I provide foundationally neuro-affirming services through helping individuals understand their own sensory needs and supports, and find ways to accommodate and/or overcome barriers to thriving. I offer support to those striving to build and maintain healthy and stable relationships.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Circle of Security (CoS), and am familiar with and may utilize elements of Attachment-Focused EMDR (AF-EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). That being said, my preferred modalities are EMDR/AF-EMDR and IFS.
Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy playing video games, playing basketball, working out, reading, completing jigsaw puzzles, snuggling with my cat, and spending time with my partner, friends, and family. I've been residing in the Spokane region since 2009 but have lived in WA state since about 2000. I feel passionate about inclusivity, social justice, and intersectionality.
